Sean discovers the importance of protecting nature

Suddenly the funny little men appeared. They jumped up and down and chased the big machine away. It headed back down the road, puffing smoke.

“Help, help! You can’t do this. I’ll be back another day,” the machine shouted.

From the corner of his eye Sean thought he saw other funny little men running with pots full of something that sparkled and shone in the sun. But when he looked again they were gone.

The book also contains the historical background to the name "Sean", here are some of those facts:

Sean is recognised internationally as the Irish for John.

The name does not appear in Celtic legend or mythology and may have emerged as a version of Jehan or Jean around the time of Norman invasions of Ireland.

Seven members of the Irish Parliament (Dail) share the name.
